INTRO:
Garlic Mania is a bold, flavor-filled celebration of community, culture, and creativity, where garlic takes center stage. Set in an urban-meets-vintage atmosphere, the festival blends food, art, and interactive fun into a vibrant seasonal experience.
Many food festivals rely on crowded visuals and inconsistent branding, making it difficult to create a clear and memorable identity. The challenge for Garlic Mania was to build a bold and cohesive visual system that could stand out in a lively public setting while remaining flexible across multiple applications.
The process began by studying garlic as both a cultural symbol and a graphic form, simplifying its shape into bold and recognizable visual elements. Color exploration focused on high-contrast and vibrant tones to capture the energy and playfulness of a festival environment. The system was tested across different touchpoints to ensure consistency, visibility, and adaptability in real-world scenarios.
Garlic Mania was developed into a vibrant and scalable festival identity system spanning posters, wristbands, signage, merchandise, and packaging. Bold typography and dynamic compositions create a strong visual presence while maintaining clarity and cohesion across all applications.

This project taught the importance of building a strong visual system that remains flexible across different contexts. It revealed how bold and expressive design can still maintain clarity and consistency when applied to large-scale environments. It also strengthened sensitivity toward typography, color, and composition in creating cohesive yet dynamic visual experiences.
